BUTTER COOKIES


Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

3/4 cup salted butter

1 large egg

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Procedures:

1.Preheat the oven to 350ํF. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.

2.In a large bowl,using an electric mixer set at medium high , cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until smooth.

3.Sift flour and baking powder together then fold into the mixture until just blended.

4.Drop about 1 table spoonful of dough onto the baking sheets,spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-12 minutes ,or until browned around the edges. Set the baking sheets on wire racks to cool for 5 minutes ,then transfer the cookies to the racks to cool completely.

5.Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
